In a game that had a playoff feel to it, the Fort Frances Muskies escaped with a 3-2 shootout victory over the visiting Dryden Eagles Tuesday night.
The Muskies jumped out to a 2-0 lead, before Darra Zieroth finally solved Sydney Beck with a power-play goal in the second.
McKenna Corvllo netted the game tying goal with 2:09 left in regulation.
Dryden dominated in the ten minute overtime, out shooting the Muskies 9-5.
Jess Carter had the best chance to win it putting a shot off the crossbar in the extra frame.
Janelle Kaemingh scored the lone goal in the shootout.
Fort Frances outshot Dryden 43-40.
Despite the loss, the Eagles earned a point and are one back of the first place Muskies.
