Naloxone Kits To Be Made Mandatory In Some Settings

Naloxone kit may soon find their way in bars and nightclubs in the near future.

The province intends to make them mandatory in high-risk workplaces.

Bars and nightclubs have been seeing an increase in opioid usage, some of which have been laced with things like fentanyl and carfentanil.

Construction sites will also need to have naloxone kits.

The requirement is being included in a comprehensive labour bill that also provides minimum wage standards for workers in digital ride-share, delivery, or courier services and recognizes the credentials of out-of-province trained workers in specialized fields.
