The Nishnawbe Aski Nation is dealing with a number of issues at it’s Special Chiefs Assembly in Thunder Bay.
Grand Chief Harvey Yesno says there is inadequate federal funding for safe drinking water, schools, water and sewer systems and energy.
He adds they are addressing them in the short term, but also in the long term to looking at regional infrastructure that will contribute to changes in the cost of living within the community.
Over 300 delegates are attending the conference that wraps up tomorrow.
