NAN Seeking Funding

The Nishnawbe-Aski Nation Legal Services Corporation is pleading with
the Province for an extension in funding for their Talking Together Program.
Spokesperson Celina Reitberger says they would like to continue with
their pilot project and expand to other First Nation communities.
Reitberger says the program provides a non
judgemental way of resolving child welfare cases in aboriginal communities.
Since 2002, the program has provided services to over 500-children in
Northern Ontario.
NAN’s funding runs out March 31st.
