NAN Setting Up Health Transformation Plan

A new health services transformation plan is being worked on for communities in the Nishnawbe Aski Nation territory.

Sioux Lookout family doctor Dr. Michael Kirlew will sit on the working group.

The task force is being led by former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations Ovide Mercredi.

Other members of the team include NAN elder and health advisor Helen Cromarty and Thunder Bay Nurse Practitioner Mae Katt.

The NAN group will work closely with the Canadian and Ontario governments.
