Nishnawbe-Aski Nation Grand Chief Stan Beardy has decided to suspend bilateral discussions with the Provincial Government.
The move is a result of the recent jailing of 6-Big Trout Lake First Nation band members for disrupting mining activity on KI territory.
Beardy says the extreme positions of the Government to support jailing First Nation leaders is an insult to the so-called new relationship it promised.
Beardy says the Government in-action is a major step backwards.
