NAN Upset With Closure Plans

The Grand Chief of the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation says he’s “livid” about a decision by the Ministry of Transportation to close 3-bridges for repairs.
Stan Beardy calls the decision “ridiculous,” saying that they only have a short window of opportunity to truck vital goods and services into 16 of their remote communities.
Trucking the goods in is substantially cheaper than flying them in.
The bridges in question connect the communities to Pickle Lake.
