National Accreditation For Mental Health Program

The Kenora-Rainy River District’s Children and Family Services has received national accreditation for its Children’s Mental Health Program.

The four-year accreditation comes from the Canadian Centre for Accreditation.

Director of Clinical and Community Services John Baker says it’s a first for the program and the nine staff involved.

Baker says they’ve always known they have done a good job, but it’s nice to hear some evidence from an outside agency.

He notes the program has met the standards needed to ensure the best practices are being carried out.
