National Day Of Mourning

Communities across the region are marking the National Day of Mourning today (Tuesday) for workers killed or injured in the line of duty.

There won’t be any in-person ceremonies this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The Kenora and District Labour Council is asking the public to light a candle in honour and reflection of those who have lost their lives on the work site.

The day is also meant to renew a commitment to improve health and safety and prevent further injuries, illnesses and death.
