Natural Gas Project Receives Financial Boost

The Federal Government is investing in the Union Gas project in Red Lake.
The Government has announced $2.7-million in funding to support the gas pipeline project, which will provide 180 businesses with natural gas in the next 5 years.
The development is estimated to create 120 jobs.
The project builds on current efforts by the municipality, Goldcorp and Union Gas to extend a natural gas pipeline from the Griffith mine site, north of Ear Falls, to the Goldcorp mines.
