Natural gas rates decrease

Local residents can expect to pay less for natural gas in the second quarter of 2006.

Union Gas has sent an application to the Ontario Energy Board seeking a decrease in natural gas rates starting April 1st.

Andrea Stass is a spokesperson for the company and says customers in northern Ontario could save as much as 170 dollars a year.

Stass adds that on a monthly basis, natural gas bills could drop by as much as 14 dollars.
