Another First Nations Natural Resources Youth Employment program has come to an end.
This year, 45 youth from communities across northwestern Ontario took part in the course.
Participants received certificates and two high school co-op credits during six weeks of work and training.
The program is designed to educate about natural resources career paths and help prepare individuals for post-secondary education in the field.
Disciplines included tree planting, environmental management systems, and even driver training.
The program was offered by Confederation College, Lakehead University and Outland Camps.
To date, the partnership has supported over 430 Indigenous youth from 55 communities.
