The federal New Democrats say they didn’t support the softwood lumber agreement with the United States and for good reason.
The NDP’s trade critic, Peter Julien has been touring northern Ontario this week and says the softwood deal has already cost as many as four thousand jobs across the country.
Julien says its time the federal government did something to assist communities hit hard by the downturn in the forest industry.
