NDP Hope To Name Candidate Soon For Kiiwetinoong Riding

The NDP in the new riding of Kiiwetinoong says they may not have a candidate in place until after the election writ is dropped.

Susan Barclay is the President of the Riding Association and says they hope to announce a date for the upcoming nomination meeting in the next couple of days.

She adds that they have a couple of people interested in running, but they need to be vetted by the party first.

Both the Liberals and the Conservatives in the new northern riding already have confirmed their candidates.

The riding starts in the Sioux Lookout area and spans all the way north.
