Reaction continues to come in following an announcement that the Province will only be providing $300,000 to the victims of last May’s flooding in Thunder Bay.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath says it’s unacceptable that donations are not being matched 2 to 1, even though flood victims were under the impression that would be the case.
Horwath is insisting that the promised funding come through as soon as possible.
She says “if someone dropped the ball, then they better damn well pick it up in a hurry”.
Horwath says the people of Thunder Bay deserve to be treated better and she’s disappointed that Premier Wynne is not making a commitment on correcting the problem.
