Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton wants the Province to take a
serious look at area Highways following a fatal collision West of Dryden
last weekend.
The Province is looking at introducing Legislation to lift a ban on
studded tires in the North.
Hampton stresses that is not the solution to the treacherous winter
roads.
The NDP Leader says Highway’s need daily maintenance, timely salting
and routine snow plowing.
Hampton adds studded tires would put roads in worse shape then they are now.
