NDP Leader Not Pushing for Election, But….

Federal New Democrats are gearing up for a possible election.
NDP Leader Jack Layton says they have candidates in place in almost all ridings now.
He says his party isn’t pushing for another Federal election, but notes they are willing to go to the polls if the Harper government doesn’t provide more help for ordinary Canadians.
Speaking in Kenora, Layton stated he would like to see Stephen Harper extend benefits to workers who have been laid off during the current economic downturn.
