NDP Leader Praising Work Of Local MPP

Ontario NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is thanking Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell for her dedication to northern families.

Horwath calls her a force of determination in the legislature and a true advocate and fighter for improved access to health care, no matter where you live.

She says Campbell took a passionate stand on the need to expand the Northern Health Care Travel Grant and, through her efforts, she has brought services like dialysis close to Kenora-Rainy River families.

Horwath calls Campbell a champion of both the northern economy and the environment, stressing she was instrumental in the fight to keep the Experimental Lakes Area open.

Campbell won’t be running in the next provincial election.

Until that time, Horwath says Campbell will continue her work to improve access to seniors in her region, push for better winter highway maintenance as well as the twinning of Highway 17.
