Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty has no plans to join another party after being sanctioned by his own party for voting in support of ending the long-gun registry.
The NDP member is now prohibited from speaking in the Legislature and from sitting on Legislative Committees.
But, Rafferty isn’t speaking ill of interim leader Nicole Turmel.
Rafferty is not certain how long the sanctions will last and stresses his main focus now is representing his constituents.
