NDP MP Targeting Asbestos

Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty is adding his voice in the call to ban asbestos.
He presented a petition in the House of Commons this past week.
The petition also calls for an end to government subsidies of asbestos both in Canada and abroad.
The petition calls to ban asbestos in all its forms and to create a transition program for workers in the asbestos industry.
