Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton is taking a cautious approach to the $1-billion Federal aid package for the forest industry, noting the “Devil’s in the details.”
Hampton says the Feds still don’t realize the importance of the forest sector on the Canadian economy.
The NDP member says Mill’s also need bridge financing to weather the economic downturn as well as a reasonable hydro rate in order to stay alive.
Hampton also notes its time for the Provincial Government to do its part to help the ailing sector.
