The leader of the New Democrats admits she’s cynical about the provincial government’s announcement they will finally be building a road into the Ring Of Fire.
Andrea Horwath says they have been waiting for more than a decade for some sort of movement on the issue.
Horwath says the government has made numerous announcements about the mining project over the years but they’ve seen little action.
She says the 2017 budget passed without a single dime allocated for the Ring of Fire.
Horwath says a commitment to an All-Weather Road should have been made a long time ago.
