The NDP is out with its child care platform for next year’s federal election.
The centre piece is a $1.9-billion dollar pledge to fund 370,000 day care spaces in the country.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty defends the hefty cost noting that Quebec’s child care program is helping the economy there.
Rafferty says under the NDP plan, parents would only spend $15 a day for child care.
