A federal election no longer seems imminent this spring but the NDP in Thunder Bay-Rainy River intend to nominate a candidate anyway.
So far, only John Rafferty, who ran in the last election, has stepped forward to represent the federal NDP in the riding.
A nomination meeting will be held Tuesday at 7-pm at the Ukrainian Hall in Fort Frances where nominations will also be taken from the floor.
Two more nomination meetings are set for this week, one in Atikokan on Wednesday night, the other in Thunder Bay on Thursday night.
