Sarah Campbell of the NDP is headed to Queen’s Park.
The 29-year-old rookie finished first in the Thursday Ontario election.
Campbell finished with roughly 49% of the popular vote.
Rod McKay of the Conservatives finished second with roughly 38% percent of the popular vote.
Liberal Anthony Leek finished a disappointing third place with roughly 10% of the popular vote.
Green candidate Jo Jo Holiday of the Green Party and Charmaine Romaniuk of the Northern Heritage Part were well back at 4th and 5th respectively.
A close race in the Thunder Bay-Atikokan riding, with incumbent Bill Mauro barely holding on to his seat.
The Liberal finished with about 39.1% of the popular vote, less than 2-points ahead of NDP candidate Mary Kozorys.
Conservate Fred Gilbert was third.
Northern Development, Mines and Forestry Minister Michael Gravelle was re-elected in Thunder Bay-Superior North.
The Liberal finished with roughly 45% of the popular vote.
Steve Mantis of the NDP was second at 34.78%.
Anthony Leblanc of the Conservatives was third.
On the Provincial front, the Liberals were re-elected to a minority government.
The Liberals won 53 seats — a loss of 17 from dissolution. The Tories took 37 ridings for a gain of 12 seats, while the
N-D-P have been elected in 17 for a gain of seven seats.
