Nearly Flawless Hockey Results In Big Win

A convincing win on home ice for the Dryden Ice Dogs.
The Dogs smothered the Thunder Bay North Stars last night in a 4-0 victory.
Eric Szymczyk made 16-saves, including 9-in the final period, and he was quick to pass along credit for the win to his defenceman.
Szymczyk says his team blocked a lot of shots and kept everything to the outside.
He stresses it’s a hug win for the club.
Paul Thompson scored twice, while Rory Court and Chris Belhumer added singles.
Dryden now sits comfortly in third place.
In other SIJHL action, the Fort Frances Lakers snapped the Minnesota Wilderness’ 17-game winning streak, with a 4-3 shootout victory.
Fort Frances has now won 9 in a row.
