A new scam to be aware of in northwestern Ontario.
A caller to CKDR News reported they almost fell victim to a scam from someone claiming to be from Netflix.
The family received an e-mail advising them their recent monthly payment didn’t go through and they needed to update their account.
They were asked to fill out personal information and update financial details in order to re-activate the service.
They became suspicious and contacted Netflix and officials there stressed that they don’t conduct business that way.
