New Lieutenant Governor installed at Queen’s Park

A changing of the guard at the Ontario Legislature.

Edith Dumont will become Ontario’s 30th Lieutenant Governor.

A ceremony at Queen’s Park will install her to the position held by Elizabeth Dowdeswell since 2014.

Dumont is a long-time educator from the Ottawa area.

She also becomes the first Francophone to be named Lieutenant Governor in Ontario.
