New Charter Of Rights For Alzheimer Patients

The Alzheimer Society of Canada has released a Canadian Charter of Rights for people with dementia.

It was created with the help of patients and their families.

Spokesperson Mary Schultz says it was born out of the need to shine a light on the stigma and challenges faced by people with dementia

Schultz says while it’s not a legal document, she sees the Charter fitting in with the development of a national dementia strategy.
