A housing company plans to open up shop in Dryden.
Vice President of AlterNative Homes Leon Tirums says they will build two kinds of homes in the community. One will be made without any wood and more composite materials. They will also offer the more traditional style of home, made with wood.
However, Tirums says both types of housing are energy efficient and are made of “green” building materials.
The company hopes to start moving into its factory on Scott Street in late fall, and be fully operational by the new year.
AlterNative Homes had a display set up at the Dryden Home and Sports Show.
Along with Tirums, President Bernie Berd and Communications Liaison Tara Green said Dryden has been so supportive.
