New COVID-19 Case In Red Lake

The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting its 42 positive case of COVID-19.

The recent case is from the Municipality of Red Lake.

Public Health Ontario says the person involved is a woman in her 50s.

Local officials say follow up with the person involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified will be contacted directly.

They stress it’s important for everyone to assume the coronavirus is in their community and practice preventive measures like physical distancing, wearing a mask, good hand hygiene, and not touching your face.

Ontario is reporting 170 new cases and three new deaths Thursday.
