New COVID Case In Rainy River District

The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting one new COVID-19 case in the Rainy River District Thursday.

Follow up with the person involved and their contacts has started and anyone who is identified will be notified directly.

There is some good news on the coronavirus front however as the number of active cases have dramatically dropped.

Officials are now reporting 22 cases; 19 in the District of Rainy River, two in Dryden/Red Lake and one in the Kenora region.

Overall, there were 3,326 new cases of COVID-19 in the province and 62 deaths.
