The Northwestern Health Unit is targeting people who are at risk of getting diabetes.
The 13 month pilot project is being offered exclusively in Sioux Lookout and Kenora.
Spokesperson Shannon Robinson says they are looking at low income and aboriginal residents.
Screening clinics will be offered in both communities and residents who are deemed at risk will be provided with a list of healthy living programs in their community.
The Provincial Diabetes Strategy provided $24,000 to create the new program.
