New Fee For Yard Waste Disposal In Sioux Lookout

Residents in Sioux Lookout will have to start paying to dump their yard waste.
Chief Administrative Officer Ann Mitchell says it will cost $100 per tonne, but to put things in perspective, it works out to be about $10 for a truck load.
Mitchell says the money will go to maintain the Hidden Lake Landfill site, noting it costs about $7,000 each year just to move the waste around.
The new fee became effective June 1st.
