New Fishing Regulations Released

The 2008-2009 Ontario Fishing Regulations Summary is now available and
the new rules will come into effect January first.
The Ministry of Natural Resources will be replacing the current
37-fishing divisions with 20-management zones.
Spokesperson Yolanta Kowalski says the new regulations are simpler and
streamlined.
The summary includes enhanced text and maps to help anglers find
regulations and fishing zones.
Some of the changes were delayed because the province needed Federal
Government approval.
