The federal government is giving its approval to New Gold’s proposed gold project north of Barwick.
Environment Minister Leona Aglukkag has issued her ruling in a federal environment assessment, stating the planned open-pit mine is not likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
The Minister’s decision, does include a number of conditions New Gold must meet.
