New Gold Prepares For Start Of Construction

New Gold is getting ready for the eventual start of construction of its open pit mine north of Barwick.
Any work, though, is still several months away.
Environment Director Kyle Stanfield says they’ll likely seek out suppliers for equipment and services very shortly and expects area business to benefit.
Along with the jobs from construction and mining, Stanfield says they foresee two to three thousand new jobs created in businesses related to the mine.
