New Gold Ramping Up Production In Rainy River Area

New Gold is looking to beef up production at its Rainy River mine.

It’s projecting to produce between 270,000 and 290,000 ounces of gold this year.

That’s up 22% over last year.

The company credits an increase in higher grade tonnes being mined and processed.

New Gold is also planning an economic study to look at the potential of a standalone underground operation going beyond 2028, the current end-of-life date for the mine.
