Canada is looking to celebrate its birthday in a big way.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford has announced $5.2-million for Northern Ontario in the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.
Rickford says the fund will support many different projects.
Projects will focus on improving existing infrastructure for municipalities, not-for-profits, arenas, recreational facilities and legions.
$150-million is being spent country-wide.
Applications are now being accepted.
The deadline to apply in Ontario is June 9th.
