Northwestern Ontario’s justice system is welcoming five new Justices of the Peace.
They are among 42 appointments made by the provincial government to work in courts across the province.
In the northwest region, two have been assigned to the court in Kenora.
Two will work in Thunder Bay, with one assigned to the Dryden court.
Desmond Berry, a police officer with Thunder Bay Police and Jesse Alan Soloway, who works with the Ontario Provincial Police Provincial Communications Centre, have been assigned to the Ontario Court of Justice in Thunder Bay.
Joanne Clouston, who has worked as in-house counsel for the Kenora-Rainy River District’s Child and Family Services, and Brent Lundy, a manager with the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario (FedNor), will work in Kenora.
Lorelei Van Belleghem, a legal aid worker, has been appointed to the court in Dryden.
