The Ontario government is moving to stop the sale and supply of e-cigarettes to anyone under the age of 19 and ban their use in locations that regular smoking is banned.
The new legislation also prohibits the display and promotion of e-cigarettes in places where e-cigarettes or tobacco products are sold, or offered for sale along with a ban on the sale of flavoured tobacco products.
The same legislation, the Healthier Choices Act, also requires calories for food and beverages including alcohol, to be posted on menus in restaurants and message boards in convenience stores and grocery stores that have 20 or more locations in Ontario.
