New Leaders At FFCBC

There are new leaders atop the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.

The team of Oliver Gibbons of Morson and Mike Gate of Nestor Falls shot to the top with a second day bag of bass weighing in at 19.58 pounds.

That displaced last year’s champions and first day leaders, Troy Norman of Fort Frances and Jay Samsal of Kenora, to second.

They weighed 18.33 lbs of bass to sit just 3/10ths of a pound back of the leaders.

The team of Dennis Fiedler and Duane Anderson had the biggest weight of day 2 with 20.03 lbs of bass which help moved them from well outside the top ten to third.

Fishing resumes tomorrow.
