In election news across northwestern Ontario, there are three new leaders because of a decision by a trio of Mayor’s to not seek re-election.
In Kenora, Dan Reynard easily defeated Lydia Harlos, claiming 92% of the popular vote.
Turning to Fort Frances, Councillor June Caul beat out fellow member Ken Perry for the Mayor’s position.
In the City of Thunder Bay, Bill Mauro may have lost his seat in the last provincial election.
But he will have a new job come December 1st.
Mauro beat out Frank Pullia by almost 800 votes to claim the top job in the Lakehead.
There were 11 in the running for Mayor in Thunder Bay.
