New Lumber Study

A new study shows that the Region is losing $3.5 million a week thanks to the struggling lumber industry.
More than 1,400 people have recently lost their job in the Mill sector.
While the numbers provide a doom and gloom outlook, Consultant Bill Lees says there may be a light at the end of the tunnel.
He suggests the Region concentrate on other value added commodities to boost the economy.
Lees blames the softwood lumber dispute and the high Canadian dollar.
