New Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs

The Province is acting on 1 of the recommendations from the Ipperwash
report by creating a seperate Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs.
The premier is not increasing the size of the Cabinet but is appointing
David Ramsay who was already responsible for Aboriginal Affairs.
Ramsay says the new Ministry will have more clout.
The Ministry will now have its own Deputy Minister and will be
seperated from the Natural Resources portfolio.
Ramsay says he’ll be meeting with Chiefs from across the Province
next week.
