School boards, First Nation organizations, and both
levels of Government will be receiving a copy of a new
aboriginal learning model.
The Canadian Council on Learning worked with various
aboriginal groups to come up with a way to measure first
nation learning success.
Spokesperson Jarret Laughlin says western ways of
thinking about learning don’t adequately address how First
Nations people learn.
The new learning model was based on historical research and
intense discussions with aboriginal groups
