The CEO of the Dryden Hospital says he is pleased and surprised with a provincial government funding announcement for hospitals.
Andrew Skeene says the Dryden Hospital will receive more than 993-thousand dollars in new money.
Skeene says the hospital capital and operating budgets will be revisited to see which ones need to be focused on.
The announcement has injected an extra 645-million dollars into provincial hospitals.
Atikokan received 387-thousand dollars, Sioux Lookout 312-thousand and Red Lake was handed 85-thousand dollars.
