New Name for Crisis Centre

The Atikokan Crisis Centre will now be known as the Rainy-River District Women’s Shelter of Hope.
The Centre’s Board of Directors selected the name out of about 30 suggestions offered by staff and area residents.
Executive Director Donna Kroocmo says the final selection came from an Atikokan woman who incorporated a logo with the name.
She says they now in the process of registering the name for use sometime next year.
