The newly renovated police building will soon be known as “The Chief
John A Riley Building”.
The well respected Officer joined the force in 1955, was promoted to
Chief 10-years later, and retired in 1987.
Current Chief Shayne MacKinnon says Riley was responsible for the growth
of the force, introducing new technology and building a new facility in
1979.
