New NOMA President Speaks Out

Municipalities in the Region are facing a wide range of financial
challenges and need more help from the Province.
That message from the new President of the Northwestern Ontario
Municipal Association.
Michael Power says the forest industry in particular has been hit
hard and needs assistance.
Power adds he’d like to set up a meeting in the coming weeks with the
Premier to talk about revising the Ontario Municipal Partnership Fund,
which he describes as completely inadequate.
